  2. I don't know where my wife heard about this place but she really wanted to check it out. I had my reservations as soon as she mentioned there is unlimited steak for P170. Those of us that know "steak" know no one is going to sell it for P170. Not even Laughlin or Las Vegas Nevada's casinos.

You know how it is. Wifey wanted to check it out so we did. First of all, you probably don't want to go there during church services on Sunday mornings. There are two churches next door so all parking is taken up. We had to park around the block and walk back to the restaurant.

Now I am thinking this better be really good for all this effort. As we approached the front door, we were greeted with an opening door and a great smile from one of the host. That was nice and as we walked through the front door I noticed a very nice and clean sitting area.

Being that I am from the US I was immediately put off by the food items open to the public with no cough guards protecting the food from visitors. For those that live here in the Philippines are use to this but those of us that are from outside the Philippines have gone through these risky ways of displaying food for public consumption.

Another problem with this way of displaying food is that a candle underneath will not keep the food hot so your food will most likely be cold and it was. All was cold except the salad which you want to be cold and fresh and neither was the case.

As for the steak, pork and fish that is cooked little by little. I thought that would be the one thing that may save this place. I asked what kind of steak they were cooking and the young man told me that it was sliced meat from the neck of the cow. I don't know about you but that isn't what I am use to calling steak. I don't think if it is beef we should call it steak. Otherwise Mcdonalds has just sold their 2 billion steaks for less than 42.50 Pesos.

I didn't even bother with the thin slices of what they called steak because I knew it would be chewy. My wife got some for her and our 5 year old. Our 5 year old daughter was very hungry and put a lot of it in her mouth right away. Soon she had a worrying look on her face. She bent over to her plate and spit all of it out and cried "It's chewy"!

Long before my daughter was frustrated with her 'steak', I was fed up and I don't mean full of food. I didn't say anything because my wife was trying to make the best of it. The only item I was able to deal with was the bottle of Pepsi. Oh, and if you are like me. You may want to ask as you are ordering your drink that they don't put a straw in the bottle. Here in the Philippines it is very common for your soda to come in the bottle with an uncovered straw in it.

In case you are wondering, I am not a fan of Filipino food. There are a few items I enjoy but for the most part I have not had any that I would go out of my way to get. But as I watched my daughter and wife trying to eat this food because they were very hungry after church and they were not having an easy time of it, I knew that the problem with this food was not just because it was Filipino style food.

So for P500 for two adults and one child to eat and two Pepsi's, this was not a good choice. In fact I put the food at the bottom of my list of places to eat. In fact I won't put it on my list at all. I don't say that to be mean. This is just not the place for me. Over $10 bucks wasted :0/
My advice... Put up the extra P100 and go to Grand Men Seng for buffet.
