Module 3 - Simplifying Sugar Flowers

When: August 28 & 29, 2015 ( Friday & Saturday)
Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Workshop Fee: P5,800.00 [inclusive of all ingredients, recipe hand outs, certificate]
This is an Individual Hands-on Workshop. It is open to students who want to learn how to make Sugar flowers. Please note that learning outcomes in Module 1 - Basic Fondant for Beginners is not covered in this module.
The students will:
1. Make gum paste suitable for crafting sugar flowers, from scratch;
2. Create a peony, rose bud and full rose using simple cutters (without the aid of specialized cutters);
3. Create leaves and simple flower fillers;
4. Highlight petals and leaves by using petal dusts;
5. Create a simple floral spray;
6. Mount the floral spray onto a 2-tiered dummy cake; and,
7. Appreciate the art of sugar flower craftting,
Final Output: At the end of the workshop, each participant will bring home a 2-tiered dummy cake decorated with their own floral spray creations.
