Shindig Bar - Acoustic Battle. Registration until July 18, 2012

Shindig Bar brings you another great event where you can showcase your talent and win great prizes! Get ready for the Shindig Bar Acoustic Battle 2012!
The battle will be on August 9, 10 and 11, 2012 at 7pm.
That's right, ACOUSTIC. No drum kits, no electric guitars, just the pure unplugged sound of music. Open for acoustic bands with 3-5 members 16-30 years old.

HOW TO JOIN?

I- REGISTRATION
Requirements: Php 250.00 per band for the registration.
Parent’s consent (Only for those that are under the age of 18)
A.) All interested contestants must register starting June 18 until July 18, 2012. Registration fee is Php 250.00 only.
B.) Entry forms are available at the Reception Area. Deadline of entry forms together with the registration fee of 250php and parent's consent (Only for those that are under the age of 18) will be on July 14, 2012.Early registration and on-the-spot submission of entry forms are encouraged. You may Submit your entry forms at the Admin Office during office hours (8:00 AM until 5:00 PM) or at the Reception Area before or after office hours.
C.) Registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including withdraw from the competition.
D.) All registered contestants will receive a notification by e-mail and SMS regarding the schedule of their performance. Notifications will be available on July 18-20, 2012.
E.) Phone call or online registrations will not be entertained.
F.) No need for auditions.

II-GUIDELINES
A.) The competition is open to ALL 16-30 years old.
B.) Each group is entitled to have a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) members.
C.) Each group will be allowed to play three (3) songs.
D.) Presentation and set-up of music instruments should not exceed 15 minutes.
E.) Bands may perform any songs of their choice as long as the song does not contain any vulgar languages and lyrics.
F.) Each band will also be given 5 minutes sound check one hour before the competition starts.

III- INSTRUMENTS
1.) Keyboards will be allowed, but only when using piano sounds, without effects.
2. Drums: Full Drum Kits are not allowed.
3. Electric bass and electric guitars are not allowed. Only acoustic guitars.
4. Performers will bring their own musical instruments.

IV- MECHANICS
There will be two sets of elimination round. All registered groups will be divided into two.
The first set of groups will compete on August 9, 2012 and the second set will compete on August 10, 2012. We will choose top 3 contestants each round to join the Final Round on August 11, 2012. Six contestants will compete on the Final Round and 1 winner will be announced with CASH Prize, certificate and will have their band featured in OrangeGrove Hotel-Shindig Bar!

NOTE:
On the day of the event, please present your entry stub (which will be given to you after you submit the registration requirements)to the in-charge as a proof that you are a registered contestant.
